You hear about it all the time, girls crying or whining and complaining about how rude their boyfriend is, or how he "won't let them do something" last time I checked, there's a difference between your father and your man. I mean, yes, My boyfriend and I argue sometimes, but it doesn't last more than 5 minutes. In particular, my best friend, she always calls me crying about how her boyfriend yelled at her for something so stupid, or maybe even no reason at all. She tries to do something for him and since he's having a bad day, he takes it out on her.( sometimes, threatens to "break up with her", which i see as very immature) all the time. Then later on he realizes it, appologizes and she forgives him. This process has been repeating for over a year. I don't understand how someone can claim to be happy with someone like that? I mean, I belive in forgive and forget, but not 50 thousand times. Thats a habit, not an accident. There are a few times you should just get rid of, such as :
Repeat Offenders
If a guy has lost his cool, on multiple occasions, and made an idiot out of himself, break up. If he's done it multiple times, there's a good chance he'll do it many more times. Some would say "Well he doesn't do it to me, just to people around him." Are you serious? That because he's trying to IMPRESS YOU AT THE TIME!!! Wait till he gets tired of you or you're married and the newness of the relationship has worn off. Then we'll see who he really is, and I'll bet you're not going to like it.
Controlling
If a guy starts telling you who you can and can't be around, who he doesn't want you to talk to, where he wants you to go, and gets paranoid all the time that you're talking to other guys, break up. Guys that hold a vice grip on there girl are usually insecure about themselves. They know they're not a good guy and they're afraid you'll figure it out too. They constantly fear you finding a "better" guy, which wouldn't be too difficult, so they cut off your connection to anyone but them. These are serious danger signs and can lead to many things, including abuse. Basically he's wondering how you could be dumb enough to stick with him?
Abusive
This is an obvious one, but lots of girls still don't get it. If a guy hits you, for no matter what reason, and later asks you to forgive him, break up immediately. I don't care if he says he'll do better, or that he'll change his way, because he usually won't and there's no harm in keeping your distance while you observe his "transformation." All to many times, girls forgive abusive partners, when they should really be getting away immediately since it can only get worse. Abuse is not only confined to physical striking, but can be classified as verbal or emotional abuse. Whichever the case may be, don't allow your kindness to blind you from the truth.
Girls, stop being so nice please. It's for your own safety. If you feel you are in danger and/or a bad relationship in any way, don't hesitate to seek help. Ditch those losers, there is always room for improvement ;)
